Pick Out one of these forms of heating boiler
Different types of Gas Central Heating Systems are available in the market. A boiler, central heating radiator and pipework are common components in many of these Central Heating Systems, they are simple in plumbing terms.
Due to the average temperature that is seen across the UK and northern Europe , people barely find the need for air conditioning. Today a good Central Heating system has become a major part of every household, so much so that it is being installed in all the new houses that are being constructed.
Central Heating is essential, particularly whens winter is heading our way. Only then you can relax and feel cosy inside your house. Your Gas Central Heating System must be fault free as much as possible and efficient to cut bills. You Gas Central Heating System must give you the feeling of confidence that it is safe, simple to use with a long life.
There are two main types of Gas Central Heating Systems; pumped/vented and sealed systems.
The most commonly used systems are pumped/vented Gas Central Heating systems. Heating systems using the pump or vent process are equipped with a tank to allow for feeding of replacement water and expansion of heated water. Hot water from the storage tank supplies your kitchen and bath while also heating up the radiators. When the water expands as it is heated the expansion tank allows for this. It is normally placed at the highest place of the house like the attic area, taking up space. It serves a dual purpose by heating the house and also supplying heated water.
For many years now, pumped/vented systems have been the norm for Gas Central Heating.
A slightly newer gas boiler is sealed heating system and this is the preferred heating system in newer properties. No water tanks are needed for a Sealed system as it is a completely closed setup saving space. In the absence of water tanks and pipework, the whole system is sealed and vented; here are some prominent benefits of such a system.
- There is no chance of pipes freezing in the attic.
- No maintenance work on the tank or pipes that would be in the attic in a pumped/vented system.
- The risk of leakage is decreased as there are fewer pipes and the system is less complex.
- As there are no open vents, air cannot enter into the system and so the risk of corrosion, air locks and sludge is drastically cut.
- Can be flushed out under pressure if needed by the mains water supply.
This heating system is self contained incorporating all the safety devices and other important controls. The water for the system is provided directly from the main water pipe of the house. There is no hot water tank, so water is drawn directly from the main supply.
Pressure variation can be regulated by a pressure vessel holding compressed gas; the hot water is pressurized by a diaphragm which also separates the water from the compressed gas. Pressure buildup in a Sealed system can be relieved by a safety valve which drains out water; and pressure drop is compensated by automatic fresh intake of water via another valve.
Gas Central Heating systems are a great way to keep your home warm, also they don’t cost you as much as the other systems would. They also offer you all round control which is more than most heating systems do.
